What are your basic rental requirements?

Renters must be 21 years old or older and must provide proof of liability insurance meeting standard auto minimums. before your rental begins, you will receive an email to verify your id and auto insurance information that was provided on the reservation form. The email will have two links and will walk you through taking photos of your id and verifying that your auto insurance is active.

These verifications must be completed in order to receive the code to start your cart. it is best to complete the verifications before your rental begins. completing the verifications on the day of your rental or outside of office hours may delay your code delivery.

Who can drive the cart?

Only licensed drivers 21 years old and older may operate a Luxe Kart LSV Kart. If you allow underage or unlicensed drivers to operate our golf cart at any time, we will cancel your reservation and retrieve the cart. No refund.

We just cannot overemphasize this requirement.

Before using your golf cart, please review the local Low-Speed Vehicle Laws.

Are Luxe Kart golf carts street legal?

All of our vehicles are street-legal and may be driven on any road that has a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less. Our carts must stay within 10 miles of the delivery address. Local laws prohibits ALL vehicles from driving on the beaches (this includes our carts).

Where can I drive a golf cart?

While we cannot provide specific routes or streets for liability reasons, we encourage you to take the initiative and conduct thorough research on suitable routes prior to embarking on your adventure. By taking responsibility for route planning, you can ensure a safe and enjoyable journey through the scenic landscapes and charming neighborhoods that await you.

Where can we park the carts? Do you have parking passes?

You may park the golf cart anywhere you can park a regular car. You must obey all posted parking signs. Parking fees and parking violations are the sole responsibility of the renter.

We do not offer parking/ Beach passes. We recommend contacting your property manager to obtain information about the proper parking passes for your area, if needed.

Do you rent by the hour?

No, We do not rent by the hour.

What Is your delivery time and pickup time?

Delivery window is between 10am-3pm. Chosen delivery times are not guaranteed, but we will accommodate as closely as possible. Pickups on the final day of your rental start at 10am.

Do I have to pay for the rental ahead of time?

Yes, to confirm your reservation full payment is required at the time of reservation.

What is your cancellation policy?

If your plans change, you may cancel your reservation up until 30 days before your rental date for a full rental payment refund, less a $75 administrative fee. After that date, no refund is guaranteed. We will attempt to re-rent the Vehicle. If we are able to re-rent the Vehicle, we will issue a refund back to your credit card of the rental amount less any difference in rental rate and less a $75 administrative fee. No refunds are given for emergencies, inclement weather, hurricane evacuations, or early departures.

Can we drive the golf carts on the beach?

No, our carts are not allowed to be driven on the beach, boardwalk, or in sand.

Do you deliver to vacation homes and resorts?

Yes, we deliver! We must deliver and pick up all of our vehicles.

Please check with your property manager that carts are allowed in the area you are staying. If you are staying at a hotel or resort, make sure you have a place to park the cart, a parking pass if necessary, and a place to charge the cart.

How to charge the cart?

The cart will come with a 50 foot extension cord and a 10 foot charging cord. Plug the cart into a regular outlet to charge. It is the renters responsibility to make sure you have a place to charge your cart. If renting multiple carts, be sure to charge the carts separately or on different outlets to avoid tripping the breaker.

We recommend charging the cart whenever you’re not using it. The cart must have a full charge at pickup to avoid a charging fee.

Are Luxe Kart vehicles golf carts?

Not exactly. Our vehicles are fully street-legal Low-Speed Vehicles (LSVs), which are more advanced and legally compliant than traditional golf carts.

Do I need a driver’s license?

Yes. A valid driver’s license is required to operate a Luxe Kart vehicle.

Can I drive after dark?

Generally yes. Because our vehicles are fully street legal and equipped with lighting, nighttime driving is permitted where local laws allow.

Can I drive on sidewalks or bike paths?

No. Sidewalks, pedestrian paths, bike lanes, and multi-use trails are generally prohibited.

Can I cross larger roads?

Usually only at approved intersections. Some larger roads are prohibited entirely.

Are children allowed to drive?

No. Drivers must possess a valid driver’s license.

Are seat belts required?

Yes. All passengers must wear seat belts.

Are the vehicles insured?

Yes. All Luxe Kart vehicles are insured and registered.

At Luxe Kart, all of our vehicles are fully street-legal Low-Speed Vehicles (LSVs) — not traditional golf carts. That means our vehicles are titled, registered, insured, equipped with DOT-required safety equipment, and designed for use on approved public roads.

What Is a Street-Legal LSV?

A Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV) is a federally recognized class of vehicle that:

  • Travels between 20–25 MPH

  • Is equipped with headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, mirrors, seat belts, horn, windshield, and VIN number

  • Is registered and insured like a motor vehicle

  • Can legally operate on many public roads posted 35 MPH or less

Unlike standard golf carts, LSVs are allowed on many public streets and may be driven after dark when equipped with proper lighting.
